Having spent this much time at one radio station might leave the ordinary a bit bored and callous, however, highly active within the community, Chief Chief Brown serves on many boards including the National Youth Crime Watch of America, the Urban League of Greater Miami, Phi Bate Sigma Fraternity, and the National Organzation of Black Law Enforcement Officers. Chief Brown retired from the Miami-Dade Police Dept in 1999. ![]() Chief Jimmy Brown is currently serving as Senior Pastor of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He is also an adjunct professor at Barry University and Florida Memorial University. Chief Brown, has received over 200 awards and accolades performing his professional and civic duties, including the Bronze Star for meritorious service during wartime, Vietnam to be exact.
