Traci Cloyd is a radio personality with personality to spare. She's an energetic, resourceful, people-loving Amazon of a woman. Traci is compassionate and enjoys a good time as well as anybody else. She's intelligent too, although she'd stop short of calling herself a "braniac". She was educated at an HBCU, Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and Columbia University in New York, New York where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master's Degree in Education. After that she started chasing dreams. She danced professionally, taught exercise classes at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, then moved to Paris to work for a designer inspired by her dancing. She returned to New York and set her sights on another long-term goal. Working in communications. After pounding the pavement, begging and harassing a lot of people for a job she finally got a chance at the Miami CBS owned an operated station. There she worked crazy hours as a television news writer, helping to script as many as six broadcasts a day. During her time at Channel 4 she also produced and reported. One day while she had her shoulder to the wheel writing scripts for a demanding anchor, one of the station's reporters told her,"I'm leaving my anchor job at HOT 105". You should give them a call". She grabbed a phone -- auditioned and was hired the same day. The preceding is the abridged version of how Traci Cloyd came to be the News Anchor on HOT 105.
