Since its inception in 1984, as a result of the closing down of large institutions, Miami Cerebral Palsy Residential Services, Inc. has been providing state-of-the-art treatment modalities for the developmentally disabled population.

Miami Cerebral Palsy Residential Services, Inc (MCPRS) is a not-for-profit agency which provides nurturing homes for 102 developmentally disabled children and adults with significant medical needs. MCPRS is affiliated with United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCP) of Miami.

Mission Statement of UCP South Florida is to affect positively: The quality of life for persons with Cerebral Palsy and other developmental disabilities, to meet their multiple needs and those of their families, and to prevent developmental disabilities and minimize their effects.

Staff RN's
Candidates will need to possess a current Florida Nursing License. Previous experience and the desire to work with people with developmental disabilities is a plus. Current CPR Certification. Personable manner and good communication skills interacting with staff on all levels. Full and part-time staff RN positions as well as a newly created special on-call pool for the new nurse and/or the nurse returning to the work place.

Staff LPN's
Candidates will need to possess a current Florida Nursing License. Previous experience and the desire to work with people with developmental disabilities is a plus. Medical Service Coordinator
Candidate will possess a Florida Nursing License with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience and the desire to work with people with developmental disabilities. In this position the candidate will be required to coordinate as well as implement the daily medical nursing services required by 24 medically fragile individuals.

Speech Therapist
CCC-SLP or CCC eligible to join our interdisciplinary team serving individuals with severe and profound developmental disabilities/mental retardation. Knowledge of augmentative communication devices and language stimulation required. Experience with classroom based activities preferred.

Director of Nursing
The qualified candidate will be a dynamic RN with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, and a current registered professional nursing license from the State of Florida. Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate will posses excellent interpersonal, communication, team building and organizational skills, along with computer literacy to include Microsoft Office Suite, and be familiar with writing and revising policies. Also, certification in the field of developmental disability nursing or interest in obtaining this unique certification is highly desirable.

As our DON, you will work closely in a collaborative environment with our Medical Director, Associate Directors and Executive Director, and become a paramount member of the interdisciplinary team. You will utilize your clinical expertise by insuring the deliverance of quality nursing services to the individuals we serve. You will also be involved in seeing through to completion exciting plans recently implemented, to further enhance our nursing services.

Personal Care Instructors
The qualified candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least three years of driving experience. One- year experience with developmentally disabled individuals a plus but will train. Candidate will possess a valid chauffeur's class "D" license within 30 days of employment. Ability to assist with client transfers by lifting a minimum of 50lbs.

CNA's
High School Diploma/GED required. Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant program. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) required. Current CPR certification required. Previous hospital/nursing facility experience preferred. One-year experience working with the handicapped/ developmentally disabled population preferred. Personable manner and good communication skills interacting with staff on all levels.
Ability to assist with individuals transfers by lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
