Dr. Serfer left Florida after medical school to train in a General Medical Rotating Internship in Pennsylvania. He followed this training with a complete Internal Medicine Residency at the well-regarded Christiana Hospital located in Newark, Delaware. It was during his residency that Dr. Serfer met his wife, Jennifer.
