I'm Kevin Powell, but you can call me "K.P". I chill with you every Saturday morning from 6 to 8 with the vibes you need that time o' day - whether you're comin' down off the night shift, drivin' home from the club, goin' to work, or just gettin' up! From 8 to 10 I hold it down with Tom Joyner's "Right Back Atcha", the Old School Weekend Show where Tom and the Crew serve up more of Today's R & B Hits and Oldies, Entertainment News and - Oh Yeah! - some Bad "A" Comedy!

Marital Status: On the books, I'm single, but in my heart, I've been married for almost two decades.

Favorite City: 305 Represent!

Favorite Way to Relax: A cool drink and a warm friend.

Motto: Sometimes it's hard to count your blessings, but the more you do, the more you're blessed.

Favorite Song of All Time: For it's simplicity, message and passion: "What's Goin On?" by Marvin Gaye.

Best Concert: Too many to remember, but in recent years the Prince Musicology Tour sticks in my mind.

Track Record in Da Business: I've been doin my weekend gig on Hot 105 since 1998, but in the meantime I've done production work for all the stations at our Hollywood Facility including WFLC, WHDR, WEDR and the now defunct WPYM and WTMI. I've also paid some dues on Public Radio Stations WLRN and WXEL. The first time I ever cracked the mic I was 17 years old reading news on a Country Western Station in a very small town on the Pacific coast. That was CRAZY!

Favorite Vacation Spot: Jamaica

Biggest Influence: My Family

Biggest Regret: That I missed my chance to see Luther Perform Live.

Best Advice: When you're climbing up, don't look down!

That's my Gig on the Weekends. Weekdays I'm "Knee Deep" in Production. I feel blessed to able to do what I do best and make a living at it. I also feel blessed to be able to realize that the Soul is the Essence of Human Life. That's probably why I love Soul Music, Soul Food and all my Good Soul Brothers and Beautiful Soul Sisters.

What kind of Music do I like?
I'm just like you – depends on my mood - R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Blues - it's all good. I also dig Reggae and the Island Beat.

Jocks I admire?.
Too many - but to name a few: Rodney Baltimore, Freddie Cruz and Tom Joyner.
