Traci is known for "keeping it real" on and off the air. She's described as an outgoing, brainy, extrovert with a wicked sense of humor.
Traci is HOT 105's News Director and Anchor, heard during the Rickey Smiley Morning Show – and on call 24/7 for major breaking news and hurricane coverage. She produces, writes, edits and delivers her on-air content.
She has worked in television and radio news since 1990 including; CBS Miami, former Miami WNBA station, "Sol Vision" and Miami Dade TV.
Traci is both a "personality" and a journalist. She is a respected anchor, known for her approachto news, unique voice and ability to tell a good story.
She has interviewed national media and political figures including Muhummad Ali, Denzel Washington, Rosie O'Donnel, Dr. Robert Atkins, Venus and Serena Williams, President Bill Clinton and then-Presidential candidate Barack Obama and then-future First Lady, Michelle Obama.
She easily reads 2 or 3 books a week and regularly interviews a wide variety of authors. She was honored for her fundraising to help build the African American Research Library and Cultural Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Traci is a graduate of Spelman College and holds a Masters degree in Education from Columbia University in New York City.
She frequently emcees various South Florida events. She credits her late mother, Ann Cloyd, with helping her reach her goals. Traci is thrilled to be married to Mr. Harold L. Young, Jr. and is extremely grateful for his presence in her life, his love and extraordinary support.
