The Broward Sheriff’s Office has released the identities of two people who were murdered after a shooting took place outside a convenience store last month in Pompano Beach. Authorities say 35-year-old Dayvona Johnson, 31-year-old Delana James, a teenage boy, and a man were all shot at around 9:00pm, on February 26th, 2923 at a convenience store located at NW 4th street and 27th Avenue.
According to Deputies, James, who was pregnant, and Johnson who lived nearby along 5th Terrace, didn’t know each other when they were shot in the store. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded and transported both victims to Broward Health North where they were pronounced dead. The remaining two victims sustained injuries that were not life threatening.
BSO Detectives had been searching for the vehicle that was involved which was described as a jeep, it has been located.
Authorities are now trying to find the people involved, who they consider armed and dangerous. Deputies are asking anyone with information to call them, or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
