John Ratzenberger known for playing the know-it-all mail carrier Cliff Claven on the ’80s television comedy “Cheers” created a public service announcement in an effort to help support the United States Postal Service.
Ratzenberger recorded a brief message Sunday on Cameo at the request of Tim Kasher, the lead singer of Cursive.
An important message from none other than Cliff Clavin (@dratzenberger) himself, asking us all to help keep @usps in business!! (thank you for your service, Mr. Ratzenberger) #SaveUSPS #USPS pic.twitter.com/bbS43gNcIP

In the short video message, Ratzenberger, 73, suggests that those who want to help the USPS should go to the post office and buy items such as stamps now instead of Christmas presents later this year.
Cameo is a service where a celebrity will record a custom video message for a fee, according to CNN.
Kasher posted the video to both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, later noting that he is trying to get his money’s worth.
Spent a lot on that Cameo, gotta get my money’s worth @usps haaaaa
